I remember a friend of mine asking me where I purchased them and I actually had two different answers. The outdoor ceiling fan I purchased in the local home improvement store when they were having a sale. It’s amazing the bargains you can actually pick up at sale time and believe it or not it was reduced by 50%. The main reason for this is that it had no box as it had been on display. I have absolutely no issues with this because it came with everything. When I was still in the store I was able to check the fan blades worked and I was also able to check that the fan control was working perfect. They still have everything hooked up so it was quite easy to make sure that everything was working perfect.

The funny thing is when we were getting everything together the friendly staff gave me some extra cable, a junction box and the full fan mounting kit. I was quite excited to be getting all these extras bits and pieces with my ceiling fan and of course I accepted but then again I’m a good customer and they kind of know me at this stage so they were really doing their best to make sure that only come back again.

Anyway in the fan I actually purchased over the Internet. They are actually ceiling fan light kits that I was able to purchase quite cheaply. They are basically very similar to my outdoor one they come equipped with wiring so you can simply add a site. They came with all the mounting equipment and everything was in place very nicely. I have actually researched a little bit before I made the purchase and I have checked the models in a couple of local home improvement stores. We are lucky where I live we have a big department store but I’m a big section of fans everything from designer ones to original fans from most of the major manufacturers.

The one thing I can say is that they definitely make a great addition to your home. They can bring beauty and comfort to any particular room but you need to make sure that they fit in with the style and design of the room before you make a purchase. Nowadays there is really a standard that has been set for days to be installed and when installing you need to make sure you have completely switched off power before you start. You’ll get full instructions to its importance but you also take care with safety as this is always key when doing any home improvement jobs yourself.

Probably one of the most popular materials that people use his ceramic tile. These come in a variety of colors and styles as I’m sure you’re aware and they are very easy to maintain. They are cost effective solution if you’re on a budget. I can also stand up to their day-to-day usage in most kitchens and are resistant to scratching and of course will not stain or discolor.

There are many different countertop colors available and you should also consider how much maintenance the countertop will need before you make any purchase. Just make sure you purchase something that is within your budget and something that will last you a lifetime.

I must say in all the years I have worked the quality of the equipment that was being purchased for the kitchens was the best possible. They seem to have the best quality of everything which is nice if you can do it. All of the electrical equipment ovens, microwaves, and cooking utensils were all top quality. Even down to the garbage disposal again they where the best you could probably purchase. It was my job at the time to fix at least six of these in each of the various restaurant kitchens. It’s quite interesting to put garbage disposal doesn’t really take that long to fix especially when they come which instructions and all the proper connecting parts. I think it took me about a day’s work to get all of the garbage disposals connected and working and to this day I don’t think I have ever installed as many in one single day. Hopefully never will because I don’t particularly this type of work – doing the same thing over and over again can be very soul destroying.

When I was finished in the restaurants I then got to work on some of the executive suites that they had on the top floor of the hotel. These were very exclusive and I’m sure are very expensive. Later his wife came home and started to do some cleaning up because my friend was just about to do this when I came along so had not managed to do this at the same time. Of course the jokes where flying about him never do anything and his wife was just having a fun at his expense. She started to use their garbage disposal, which when I heard it the noise level was quite extraordinary. I asked my friend had it been making that type of noise for long and he said that really it started to happen only a few weeks ago. Once his wife was finished cleaning up I suggested to him to go get his toolbox and I would take a quick look at it. I made sure that the disposal was switched off and I disconnected it from the power.

When I got it out from under the sink unit I was able to take it apart within a couple of minutes it was simply that the blades become little bit loose and just needed to be tightened and the sound muffler had also seem to not be in the fitted correctly or possibly had moved recently which was obviously adding to the noise levels within the kitchen. A few more minutes to put everything back together and then I install the unit back. I connected the power back up on the switched it back on from the mains.

Once my friend’s wife started using it again it was amazing the difference in all it took was a few minutes to just get my hands on the garbage disposal and simply tighten a few loose screws. Now my friends have a nice quiet kitchen without having to worry about the noise levels from the disposal. I suppose this is probably the case in many homes and it really only takes a short period of time to rectify the problem. But, what seems to happen is that the noise level increases over time and either people do not notice or simply do not have had time to fix it. By simply taking about 30 minutes to take everything apart and put everything together again this is going to make a big difference to my friends.

Last week I was working on a project in a kitchen that was to be honest about twice the size of mine and the owner of the home of done this on purpose because they wanted a centralized area in home but they couldn’t enjoy all what I have just set up a. Anyway, I was working on installing a garbage disposal, which to be honest is generaly a quick job depending on the manufacturer and model that has been purchased. The older unit was also quite nicely and as garbage disposal units go it was particularly noisy but I guess this was also something to-do with the price to be paid for it in the first case.

I must say it was an interesting job because some of the ideas behind in the interior of the kitchen she quite nice and it’s funny that the noises that we generally take for granted like wash machines, fan ovens, microwaves, garbage disposals can’t actually echo quite loud unless the acoustics in the room has been done properly. I was quite impressed at how the architect had taken this into consideration when something that is definitely worth talking about in another post when I have time.
